The impetus for our designs and store began with my hunt for a Clockwork Orange-themed t-shirt. During my online exploration, I found a cool looking "Korova Milkbar" shirt. Dressed in my newfound apparel on a rendezvous with my significant other, a chance encounter was about to ignite the spark behind aClockworkOrange.shop and our Clockwork Orange inspired original designs.

Imagine the scene - a random patron across the bar couldn't contain his excitement as he recognized the Korova Milkbar reference on my shirt. In a moment of pure elation, he loudly and very proudly recited the film's iconic opening lines, bounding over to us with absolute glee. With a gigantic smile, he pointed to my shirt and exclaimed, "Well played." It was a funny, electric moment that was the indelible mark on the creation of  aClockworkOrange.shop.

Fueled by a thirty year fascination with A Clockwork Orange, I've delved deep into this cinematic gem, watching it probably more than 50 times over the years. I bought and devoured Anthony Burgess’s book, A Clockwork Orange, learned its Nadsat, got the movie soundtrack (of course!), watched all of Stanley Kubrick’s films and subsequently awarded Kubrick the “my favorite film Director” moniker. I once paid homage on Halloween dressed as Alex, and even contemplated bequeathing the middle name "Kubrick" to a future child.

Grateful to have a successful career crafting tailored graphics and videos for clients, I also recognized I had mainly been creating for others, their vision brought to life through my art and graphics. After witnessing the elated bar patron's off the charts reaction to my shirt, I was reminded that there are others like me who are absolutely nuts about Kubrick's masterpiece; I could create my own designs in tribute to the marvelous cult classic that lit my own fire.
